FICE incorporated in the processor is able to assist in dramatically enhanching accurata diagnosis of minute lesion and theraby diagnosing cancers at early stage .

As a basic principle, FICE imaging is implemenred based on Spectral Estimation Technoogy Spectral Estimation Technology takes as\n ordinary endoscopic image form the video processor and anithmetically processes, estimates and produces an image od a given, dedicated wavelemgth of light. Now, for the first time ever. this technology is offered by GVN Hospital - "Reaching the Unreached." The expected advantages of this new digital processing system are 1. The minute observations of superficial patterns and colour differences depend on the characteristices of Light absorption and diffusion for different tissueas (Columnar, Endothelium and Transitional Epithelium) The image displayed differs completely by applying a particular wavelength during observation.
2. For e.g.a Shorter Wavelength of 400-500nm are better for clarifying surface structures while a wawelength of 500 is more suitable for blood vessels because of the light absorbing characteristics of Haemoglobin.

This is a processed image example of the cardiac portion of the esophagus. In this portion, blood vessel orientation conditions or continuity are important information for diagnosis. As using FICE can clarify vessel conditions, it contributes to the detection of abnormalpoints.
